Tuya Cobuilder is the AI-powered development entry point of the Tuya Developer Platform, not a replacement. The Developer Platform provides comprehensive smart hardware development capabilities; Cobuilder folds those capabilities into natural language interaction so you can complete the core development workflow on a single page without switching between multiple back-ends.
Tuya Cobuilder serves three core audiences. Individual developers can skip environment setup and framework learning, turning ideas into runnable prototypes with natural language. Solution integrators can generate instant pre-sales demos, dramatically shortening delivery cycles and letting engineers focus on high-value work. Brand owners can describe product requirements and preview results immediately, validating requirements without depending on external teams.
The current version supports product creation, App UI, and agent development across all platform categories. AI firmware development is available for Wi-Fi+BLE Tuya T5 series dev boards and the TuyaOpen open-source framework.
Currently, AI hardware based on Tuya T5 dev boards is supported — voice, display, and camera directions are all possible. Additional chips and categories will be added in future releases.
The current version covers four core modules. Product development: AI auto-matches categories and recommends function points (DPs), with support for custom creation and adjustment. App UI development: AI generates the App UI based on product functions, with natural language adjustments for layout, color scheme, and interaction style. Firmware development: zero-code mode and assisted coding mode, where AI generates firmware code based on function definitions. AI agent & workflow: describe in natural language to orchestrate agent capabilities, configure conversation flows, and build automation workflows. OEM App / SDK, cloud development (Open API / SaaS), device debugging, and mass production operations will be added in future releases.

Yes. Tuya Cobuilder supports OpenAI, Anthropic, and major open-source LLMs. You can choose any model that fits your market and compliance requirements. Switching models does not require firmware changes — the device-agent binding stays the same regardless of which LLM you select.
Tuya operates 7 global data centers — US West, US East, Central Europe, Western Europe, China, Singapore, and India. Data is processed and stored in the region closest to your deployment.
