Tuya Smart (NYSE: TUYA; HKEX: 2391), a global IoT development platform service provider, received a data compliance assessment report for Tuya's IoT cloud platform (US-West) from Ernst & Young (EY), one of the largest professional services firms around the world.
EY's assessment of Tuya's IoT cloud platform demonstrates the Company's continued commitment and ongoing efforts to maintain global cybersecurity, data security and compliance standards.
EY's assessment of Tuya's IoT cloud platform lasted around half a year. It covered various aspects of its IoT cloud business, including asset boundary sorting, data collection verification, data storage verification, data usage verification to data transfer verification. Upon the completion of the assessment, it was noted that Tuya has adequate levels of control in place to maintain information security standards for the data handled by the information systems within the Tuya IoT cloud platform hosted in AWS – US West.
During EY's assessment of Tuya's IoT cloud platform hosted in AWS – US West, an analysis was performed on network traffic samples, sample cloud instances, sample logs of application servers and gateways servers. Few improvement opportunities were identified during the assessment which were remediated by Tuya. It was finally concluded that consumer data is secure and it was not being transferred outside the U.S. region within the sample network traffic.
Tuya's partnerships with EY includes yearly AICPA SOC2 audit and this time's data compliance assessment. This will help enhance Tuya's data security processes throughout its products and services lifecycle and create a robust foundation for supporting Tuya’s customers.
