MWC2026 | Tuya Smart Signs Cooperation Agreement with Freedom Telecom Operations to Jointly Develop AI-Enabled Smart Home Solutions in Central Asia

Barcelona, March 4, 2026 – Tuya Smart (NYSE: TUYA, HKEX: 2391), a global AI cloud platform service provider, signed a partnership with Freedom Telecom Operations LLP , a Kazakhstan-based telecommunications operator, to jointly develop AI-enabled smart home solutions in Central Asia.

Announced at Mobile World Congress (MWC) 2026, the global mobile communications event, this partnership will leverage Tuya’s AI+IoT platform capabilities and Freedom Telecom Operations local digital infrastructure and channel advantages to accelerate the deployment of AI-enabled home solutions in Kazakhstan and Central Asia, supporting the region’s evolving smart ecosystem.

Kairat Akhmetov, Chief Executive Officer of Freedom Telecom Operations, and Yu Fei, General Manager of Tuya Smart Eurasia Region, signed the cooperation agreement on behalf of the two companies. This partnership marks an important step in expanding AI-enabled solutions in Central Asia and represents a significant milestone for Freedom Telecom in broadening its digital service portfolio and integrating smart solutions into its connectivity platform.

The two companies will jointly explore the development of smart home product bundles — including AI speakers, smart gateways, IPC cameras and various sensors — for Kazakhstan and the broader Central Asian market, while also assessing opportunities in AI-enabled and operator-related use cases. The initial focus will be on plug-and-play smart device suites integrated into Freedom Telecom Operations digital ecosystem, enabling users to conveniently manage home security, lighting, environmental control and other systems.

As a core technology partner, Tuya will support Freedom Telecom Operations in building a scalable smart home service system tailored to local needs.
